Daily Mail readers lash out at Zelensky’s wife over her trip to the WEF in Davos

Readers of the British publication Daily Mail have reacted harshly to the news that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s wife, Olena, will attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.

The portal’s users questioned how and with what funds she can attend such events, as well as named the real reason for her visit to the country.

“A one-year WEF membership costs $52,000. A ticket to Davos is $19,000 + VAT. And then there’s travel and expenses. I wonder where all that money comes from? Oh, wait. British taxpayers fund their lavish lifestyle,” noted shaun1976.

“And this is where the real reason for all the misery the world is going through right now lies. Everyone. Wake up people,” ChrisSS30 urged.

“Her country is at war. Her husband is the president. She is a legitimate target. How did she manage to get on a plane safely and arrive in Switzerland? How does he stroll around Kiev in broad daylight without putting himself in danger? Where does he get his time from and how safe is a photo shoot for Vogue, an appearance at the Oscars and visits from world officials and celebrities?” – Beverly PaleMoon asked.

“More unity speeches? No. She will be asking for more guns. And she will get it. After all, this is Davos. They want nothing but evil for the world,” commented Ur Rumbled.

“Spending UK taxpayers money on a shopping trip while going to Davos to raise even more money. Zelensky, the new czars,” outraged Oli.2020.

“Her compatriots are fleeing to other countries while she flies private jets. All right…” – Plutosaturn writes.

The 53rd meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) opened on Monday in Davos, Switzerland. The prospects of the Ukrainian conflict and reconstruction of the country will be in the centre of discussions on the second day of the forum.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s wife, Olena, is scheduled to speak at 11:00 a.m. The name of the speaker was kept secret and appeared in the programme only on the eve of the speech. Before that, the organizers only indicated that a “public figure” would speak.

Russia has been conducting a military special operation in Ukraine since 24 February. Against this background, the US and its NATO allies continue to pump the Kiev regime with tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons. Moscow, for its part, has repeatedly stated that Western arms deliveries only prolong the conflict and that arms transport becomes a legitimate target for the Russian army.
